I'm back this week!
Hey guys and gals! After taking some time to be with my family, I'm back this week. Today, I've got a chord progression for you to try out, Wednesday, I'll have a quick 5 minute lesson for you, and Friday I'll have a long one for one of the classrooms! While I've got you here, is anyone struggling with something in particular? A technique, songwriting, lead playing? Let me know! The more ideas, the better! I have a long list of things I'd like to get to for the classrooms and quick lessons, but if there's something I can get to that can help someone sooner, I'm all ears! Hope everyone has a great week this week! See you soon! -Ben

Welcome @Ben Guillory, great name by the way! Glad to have you here with us!
I'll be back next week!
Hey everyone, sorry I haven't been here as often as I'd like this week. We had a family emergency yesterday and my wife and I are just taking a little time to process and grieve. As a result, I haven't sat down to make any video's this week, but I will get back to the usual next week. Thank you for your understanding. In the meantime, I did have a quick 5 minute lesson done already and it is uploaded into the classroom section titled "5-Minute Lessons". Here's the link: https://www.skool.com/intermediate-guitar/classroom/4000ef63?md=36323bec1b394b958d00620f791b1b1e It's all about using drone strings and single string lead lines for practice, or even to make your solo guitar sound a bit more full, like a self accompaniment. Give it a try yourself and I hope everyone has a great rest of their week. Thank you all again, I'll see you next week! -Ben

Let's get slippery!
A new video in the classroom section "All About Techniques" just dropped, and this one is all about how to practice your slides! https://www.skool.com/intermediate-guitar/classroom/1008c20d?md=8d6a0c5d635c4430ba02be7047403c1b I say it in the video, I said it on the page, and I'm going to say it here as well! When you are practicing this, do it on an unwound string. Your fingers will thank you. Also, listen to your body, when it starts to become painful (and it will if you do it long enough), STOP! Save your calluses for another fight, haha! But these ideas should help get your accuracy up and hopefully clean up your slides too! Just take your time! I hope everyone enjoys their weekend! -Ben

Ain’t Talkin Bout It!
Hi everybody! I’m finally back from my flying job and thought I would just jump right in with Ben’s Riff of the Week from before I split. I haven’t had a chance to play much so it’s a bit sloppy and the rhythm needs work but I couldn’t wait! Here you go! It’s good to be back!

Keep going, and don't be afraid to go slow through those intro chord changes. It's a tricky one! Deceptively so!
