Early morning men’s group to be followed by three appointments I chose a semi casual outfit built upon my Barbour flannel on a crisp fall morning. Added my Ralph Lauren Barleycorn tweed hacking jacket, black 501 button up Levi’s, a green small donegal tweed flat cap, a wool green/brown pocket square, my Lucessee European goat skin ropers and my Seiko model 5 to wrap up the end of a short week before thanksgiving holiday.

Feeling good this morning. Down 96lbs since February, as of this morning! All of my numbers are in normal ranges now! Tomorrow will be my first ever 5k run since leaving the Army in 1990. A huge personal milestone, at 59 years of age!

Been a rough week. On a Tuesday my best buddy and band mate whom I’ve been shoulder to shoulder with for 21 years (average of 3.5 hours per week) passed away Timmy was the most unique human I’ve ever known and is irreplaceable. Finally by Friday I had to see some clients and get back out in the world- so I grabbed a 1997 fancy stripped MTM in a grayish brown, added a red tartan CT shirt and for Timmy wore my Celtic patterned deep red tie with a reddish polka dot pocket square. Tonight my work partner’s daughter was married and my wife wore a brown velvet dress so I wore a ghosted patterned 2015 MTM suit in Charcoal brown with a white shirt and. Bow tie. The invitation was very specific stating a semi formal attire for men and clarified that meant a suit. The wedding party men’s attire was classic black tie tux outfit. Sitting at our table was the Honorable Govenor of Oklahoma and his wife who are good friends of my work partner Steve (the bride’s father). To stay warm (as well as add a little bulk to the suit after my recent weight loss which now is a bit big) I threw on a waxed cotton Orvis black watch plaid waist coat.
