@James Miller Glad you enjoyed my family of Dick Picks.
Feeling grateful today ๐Ÿ™
I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you to every single one of you for being here and trusting Omni Guitars enough to join us on this journey. This brand is being built with you, not just for you, and that means more to me than I can put into words. Weโ€™ve got big goals. We want to build something positive, community-driven, and give back in meaningful ways through music. None of that happens without you showing up, participating, and believing in what weโ€™re building together. Quick reminder ๐ŸŽธ Our next FREE guitar giveaway winner will be selected on Friday, May 1stโ€ฆ which is only 7 days away! On a personal noteโ€ฆ I want to say thank you for your patience with me too. Iโ€™ve become a bit more introvert this past year, so I sometimes feel like I donโ€™t post as much as I should. But please know Iโ€™m here every day reading your posts, liking your comments, and doing my best to stay engaged and help this community grow. It means a lot when you take the time to post, comment, or encourage another member. Thatโ€™s how we all level up together ๐Ÿ’ช Seriouslyโ€ฆ thank you for being part of this. The journey is just getting started โค๏ธ Excited to see who wins this guitar next Friday! Best of luck to you all ๐ŸŽธ

stringjoy Balanced Ultra Light Signatures 7-38
well, stringjoy has just started advertising a new string. Balanced Ultra Light Signatures 7-38. dont know about anyone else, .008's are light enough i would think. i cant imagine playing a .007 . i think staying in tune and breakage would be an issue. but i could be wrong. im used to playing and bending 13's. is this a string any of you all would be interested in?? Orianthi maybe. LOL

I've been using Stringjoy strings on all my guitars, bass, banjo, and mandolin since 2023. Never had a problem with them. @Jeremy Livingston, over the 45-plus years I've been playing guitar, I've broken strings (usually the G-string, but sometimes the B- or E-strings) during a string change many times with different manufacturers, so that's not unique to Stringjoy. Strings are going to break sometimes. Check your tuners, nut, frets, saddles, and bridge to make sure you don't have a tiny rough edge or burr that might have caused the break. Why I like Stringjoy: 1. I can create custom balanced string sets on guitars I keep downtuned... I like heavier strings on strings 4-6 for a fatter bottom end and lighter strings on 1-3 for a brighter top end and easier bending and fretting. With other manufacturers, I'm stuck with what they sell, though I do put Black Beauties on my hot pink Jackson Pro Soloist and lime green Jackson RRXT, partly because I like the way they look on that guitar. 2. Because I want to build a guitar repair, setup, restoration, and maintenance business at some point, I joined their vendor program. I get a 40% discount storewide, no minimum order, and free shipping on all orders over $25 after discounts.

@Billy T Scrapper I agree with you. 8s are slinky enough. Can't imagine playing with a 7. I prefer 9s. I was mainly replying to @Jeremy Livingston
one man's trash...
I changed out my son's old ceiling fan when the motor started making noise. The fan was from the early 80s and I just loved the vintage look of it. So I got an idea! and turned it into a new speaker cabinet for my amp. What do you think?
