When The Kids Are Grown
So when your children are grown and move out, you think “finally the house to ourselves!” Nooooo…. We have to go and get not one, not two, but three little crumb snatchers. And then we have to fix one bedroom for them, but with their own beds, their own chairs, a television in their room, a salon for grooming, and a wardrobe with their clothes, yes they wear pajamas at night and clothes in the daytime. But the wife loves them, okay, okay I’m guilty as well. They are some funny characters. They actually love to watch Paw Patrol on their television, the sleep with their favorite toys in their bed . As ladies and gentlemen in the society, I know that many of you also have your favorite pets as well. So let’s have fun with this, post your pets and tell us a little about them. We have “Chloe’s Elizabeth Paris” who is 2 next Monday, “Yuri Jon Claude London” who just turned 1 year last week, and “Isabella Marie Valentino” who turned 2 in January. All are pure bred Bichon Frise~. Isabella is are newer addition that came to us about three weeks ago. Share with us your pets. What are your pets and how long have you had them. Let’s go!

Do You Smell?
Good morning, ladies and gentlemen: As many of you know; my grandson who is 14 years old, came to me and tells me that that he wanted to be like me and dress like me, wear cologne like me. His reasoning is that he sees how people notice and respect me wherever we go. (Yes, I'm having a proud moment), The one thing that I did, was to teach him the way I was raised; if you can smell yourself then others can smell you, now this can be in a good way or a bad way. Either way the point was personal hygiene is crucial to oneself. My grandfather raised us men in the family that you always wear some type of cologne; at the time the cheap thing was Brute 33 and Old Spice. Now, I am not going to spend hundreds of dollars on cologne for a 14-year-old boy unless he is on stage with his four brothers (the Jacksons Five, the older generation). But I wanted to teach him the same values I was raised with, so I buy the generic versions that I found of name brand colognes so he can learn and also build confidence in himself. I had to attend a parent teacher conference at his school, and I had never been in the school before nor have I met any of his teachers or the office staff, ( let me paint picture; I'm black and he is white) ( paint, lol sorry, I digress) but when I walked in everyone knew who I was and who my grandson was. In speaking to his teachers, all of them had one thing in common, they all complimented on how nice my grandson smelled every day and how they loved that he wore different fragrances all the time. Some teachers actually said, they have him sit next to them because he smells great all the time, (little creepy but I get it), some say they have him by the door, because unfortunately some kids do not have proper hygiene and the tend to bring that odor in the classroom with them so when other teachers and adults walk in they smell my grandson first, (again creepy but I get it). I personally get compliments all the time on my colognes and yes, even some made the comments" I am so glad you are here because someone has bad body odor." I have been to conferences where people have asked me to sit at their table because they had someone there that did not have a favorable odor on them.

I love perfumes! My favorite is cheap and what I grew up on, Giorgio. It’s in a little gold bottle. Reminds me of my mom.

I’ve been trying to dress more feminine lately. I have worn a dress or romper every day this week. I’m proud of me

Closing A Deal Made From Setting A table
I am heading to a meeting to sign a contract that came from appearing and doing; not to be noticed, but because of who you are. About a week or so ago, I was out working running errands, meeting people, and following up on meetings. I did not plan to stop for lunch because I was not planning on being out that long however, time got ahead and it was late and I was getting a headache from not eating. I went to one of those Taco Bell/ KFC places and it was right around late afternoon lunch time. there was a line inside and while I was waiting; mind you I am in a suit, I ended up having a brief conversation with a lady and a gentleman about the line, basic customer service, along with how people tend to treat servers. I had placed my order and while I was waiting; I was given my cup to get a drink so, I went to my drink from the fountain and I also got my eating utensils and napkins. I basically set my table like I would at home and waited for my food. I went and got my food and after I sat down, this same lady and gentlemen asked if they could join me, naturally I said yes, they were dressed well like myself. During the first few minutes, the lady stated that they noticed how I set my table and they were impressed because they always set theirs as well and they wanted to have a nice lunch with me. They stated that my appearance, demeanor, and how I carried myself drew them to me and they wanted to know more about me. We ate lunch and got to know each other and they asked my what I did for a living and at the end of the lunch, they asked if I would come to their company and discuss security and give a evaluation of their current security in place. So, I did and this morning I am going to sign a contract with their company and it all started because they saw a well dressed professional gentleman and they wanted to get to know me.

Life Lessons I wished I had Listened Too
Good morning ladies and gentlemen, Growing up I was blessed to have a strong family and great mentors within my family that imparted wisdom and knowledge. The problem is that I chose to not listen to many of them because I chose for different reason not to listen to them. Some of these reasons were: “this is too difficult to follow”, “this is not for me, this is silly”, and the biggest one was, leveryone else is not doing it.” Now looking back I wish that I had listen to those who had already experienced these things or had knowledge of what I was dealing with. This would have not only saved me a lot of pain and heartache, but also should have put me so much further ahead in life. So here are five life lessons that hurt, but will make you stronger that I wish I had listened and learned. 1. Every second you spent comparing your life to someone else is wasting your your journey is unique and incomparable focus on your own path and happiness instead of measuring yourself against others perceived success. 2. You can lie down for people to walk on you and they will still complain that you’re not flat enough setting healthy boundaries is crucial. You’re worth is not defined by how much you let others take advantage of you 3. Never trust what someone says watch what they do actions speak, louder than words, judge people by their consistent behaviors not by empty promises or grand statements 4.You can’t love somebody enough to make them love you back genuine love is reciprocal and voluntary recognize your worth and don’t waste your heart on someone who isn’t willing or able to reciprocate your feelings, 5. Be careful with your words once they’re said they can only be forgiven not forgotten words have the power to heal or to wound deeply think before you speak and choose expressions that build rather than destroy.

I have tried to be one of everything growing up, only to wake up at almost 40 and realize that I can only ever be me.
