Leveling Up: My Next Move
Hey friends — here’s the big update I teased 👀 After years of teaching, using, and admiring the Octalysis Framework… I’ve officially joined The Octalysis Group as Head of Engagement Strategy in Europe! 🙌 This wasn’t a quick decision. It came after deep conversations, time with the full team, and realizing just how aligned we are in purpose and mission. The retreat in Dubai sealed the deal. But don’t worry — Professor Game stays independent. The podcast continues, free as ever, and focused on what it’s always been about: making gamification practical, ethical, and effective. I’m beyond excited — and super grateful to have this community here to share it with. 🙏 If you want to talk about how this might apply to what you’re building, just DM me “CHAT.” Let’s gooo 🚀

Hey Rob. Great news. I'm really pleased for you.
🎯 Failure = Part of the Game
When Sarah Iverson shared her story on the Professor Game podcast, one moment stood out: She poured months of work into a gamified experience… only to see it flop. 💥 The design wasn’t the problem. The challenge? How she communicated it. 👉 Fast-forward: Sarah now blends puzzles, art, and storytelling into playful experiences that spark joy and help people set real, achievable goals. 💡 Her big takeaway (and mine): Creativity + Communication = Engagement. I’d love to hear from you 👇 What’s one time you “failed” not because of your work, but because of how you shared it?

@Wayla Freedom So true. In life, rather than the classroom, I suspect the only way to learn is through our failures and self-correction. Although the context is limited, one of Alex Hormozi's comments sticks with me - to the effect that until you're making a million dollars a year, you don't know what you're doing. Which I take as another way to say that you're still going through a trial and error (failure and self-correction) cycle.

First "Live" recording on Skool
So this was yesterday. I saw the feature, did a post. Then I had a few minutes walking the street and decided to try it out and go live. And forgot to hit record lol. So After a few minutes I was back on the street and recorded this. Thoughts?
