Make your tea first 🍵
Yesterday was challenge day 1. At some point I caught myself: running around making sure everyone around me had what they needed, and realizing I hadn't even made my own tea yet. That sounds small. It's not. For me - and maybe for you too - putting myself last is so automatic I don't even notice I'm doing it. It's not sacrifice. It's just... the default setting I'm often running on. The challenge isn't just about the habits we track. It's about the moment you catch yourself mid-pattern and choose differently. So right now I'm making my tea first. Then I'll show up for others. What's your "tea first" today? 🍵

I’m very much like you - giving all the time and completely forgetting myself. Tonight I’m going to prioritise my study. I have a sick child with temps hitting 41.4 degrees Celsius and another out of action with an inflamed ligament in his knee. That said, I am going to attempt to do study and day 1 tonight 🤩
💧 Fuel Your Brain, Crush the Challenge! 🧠✨
Hey amazing humans! 👋 While we dive into this incredible challenge together, let's not forget the secret weapon behind every breakthrough: YOU taking care of YOU! 🌸 Our ADHD brains work HARD. Let's give them the fuel they deserve this week 💪 My little self-care challenge for all of us: 🎯 • 💧 Drink that water! (Yes, right now. Go grab a glass! 🥤) • 🌳 Step outside for 5 minutes of fresh air Here's the truth: the insights you'll gain this week land deeper in a body that feels cared for. 🌿✨ So let's make a pact: We show up for the challenge AND we show up for ourselves. 🤝❤️ Drop a 💧 in the comments if you just drank some water! Let's see how many we can collect! 🌊 Take care of you, beautiful soul. You're worth it. 💖

@Tuuli Gress Butter wouldn’t melt in her mouth lol 😂 Your cat reminds me of the cartoon of Simon’s Cat. Hilarious and so relatable!

@Renee Kers With the amount of water that I’ve been drinking lately - it is exactly how I feel 🤣
10 hours to go… and I am READY! 🔥
Good morning everyone! ☀️ In just 10 hours the challenge officially kicks off and I cannot wait! 🎯 I am so ready for this. Ready to learn, ready to grow, ready to soak up all the new insights coming my way. 🧠✨ But honestly? What I'm most excited about is meeting all of YOU. So many new faces, new stories, new energy. That's the magic right there. 💫 See you tonight at the live! 🙌 Quick question though... how are you preparing for tonight? 📝 Notebook ready? Pen nearby? Bottle of water, cup of tea, cozy blanket? ☕💧 Tell me your setup below! 👇

@Deb Brouwer Yep - I’m with you - don’t fancy getting up at 4am. I’ll watch it after my jury service tomorrow before I do my study (somewhere along the line, the kids will get to feature!) 🤣

@Renee Kers We live in hope 🤣
Finishing things....
I know it's not my specialty yet .... but I'm getting so much better at it... Finishing things... I closed so many open loops this morning, many of them not eveb started by myself I have to say!!! My kids are great at starting things and half way through they start a new thing.... We're did they learn that trick 😂😂 The self reflection as a mom is inspiring ✨️ 💖 and irritating at the same time😂😂😂 Sounds familiar?

Spoken like a wonderful ADHD Mum! I spent the weekend getting lots of outside things done. Even managed to spend the afternoon at a beach with a friend and her son. It was so relaxing - although it did get chilly as the sun set!
Movies about ADHD
I was going to post this as a question - so instead I googled it and here's what I got ----- I would love to hear any thoughts anyone has and / or other movie ideas, critiques etc about movies and ADHD from Google: The best, most comprehensive documentary about ADHD is "The Disruptors" (2022), which highlights how people harness ADHD for success and provides a realistic, positive look at neurodivergent lives. Other top, highly-rated, and often recommended films include: The Disruptors | ADHD Documentary +2 - Best Documentary: The Disruptors (2022) - Focuses on trailblazers and children with ADHD, featuring experts like Dr. Russell Barkley. - Best ADHD Experience: Everything Everywhere All at Once (2022) - Frequently cited for simulating the chaos, fast-paced, and impulsive nature of an ADHD brain. - Best Representation (Fiction): The King of Staten Island (2020) - Depicts a young man with clear ADHD symptoms. - Best High-Energy/Hyperfocus: Scott Pilgrim vs. The World (2010) - Mirrors the high-speed, intense focus of ADHD. - Best Family/YA: Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief (2010) - Features a protagonist with ADHD and dyslexia.

Very interesting movie list!! Thanks for sharing with us all. Yep - Debz - @Deb Brouwer I’m going to add this to my list. I’m just trying to remember the documentary I saw recently on tv about neurodiversity with one episode focused on ADHD. It resonated with me because of the idea that all these ideas/tasks/instructions floating inside the head was like running a tombola with things popping out at random - something I can relate to. I suppose you didn’t see it, did you Debz? Darn memory is letting me down again lol 😂

@Bob Watson It’s not keys for me - it’s my phone - I keep putting it down and can’t remember where I’ve left it lol 😂
