Chaos on wheels (quite literally)
📅 Daily Check-in - August 28, 2026 💭 Reflection: "Well yesterday was a day and a half. I had a trip to Auckland all planned and because my car wasn't back, I took Mum's car. I dropped my youngest off at school as the oldest had to stay home due to teacher shortages. Well on my way, I discovered that the warrant of fitness on the car expired a few months ago. Knowing I was in Auckland, the chances of being caught are higher and also I wouldn't be insured if anything were to happen. So I hightailed it back home and swapped cars with hubby. Back on the road, I realised that this car had to be filled with petrol. Fine. I'll stop off on the way and fill it. Panic stations hit as I realised that my bank card was left in Mum's car. So I was on the phone to hubby again while we sorted out what cards I did have (the business one) and we transferred the appropriate amount of money across. Eventually all sorted and back on the road. I was meant to meet up with the Chair of the Trust that I work for in person but given all the rigmarole earlier, I requested that we do it by phone. Well by the time our scheduled meeting was due, I was stuck on the motorway crawling and needed my wits about me. So we've put it off until Friday. The other appointment didn't go as planned. I've got answers, not ones that I was looking for though so now I'm left like a stunned mullet as things are moving faster than I had anticipated. I was glad to finally head back home - with all the other crazies on the road. One lady in camper van decided that she wanted to get off at the services but in order to do so, she needed to get into my lane - but someone should point out to her that you don't do it by trying to be my bonnet ornament. If I didn't break suddenly, she would have taken me off the road. I was glad to stop at the services but I avoided her. Firstly because I don't like confrontations but secondly, I was so angry at the stupidity of her actions that I don't think I could control what I would have said to her. Eventually I hit Whangarei and straight on to pick up my youngest from school (hubby was sorting out the WOF for Mum's car). Got home and had a quick cuppa before rushing out to take the eldest to club football practice. It was a full on day of driving but I loved the fact that it was all about me and the peace and quiet (by and large). And what I loved even more - not once did I spiral with all the disasters that were rolling out in front of me. So proud of myself!

@Melody Vi I certainly did which did surprise me. Ordinarily I would have spiralled but it appears not any more 😎
Positives/Negatives & a wasp?
📅 Daily Check-in - August 25, 2026 💭 Reflection: "I've been a bit quiet the last couple of days. There's been a lot going on. A household with influenza (other than hubby - again!), Dad and his final journey moving a step closer to the end, youngest not going to school still. It's a lot to process when you're not feeling marvellous and someone has filled your head with cotton wool. Oh and to top everything off, a wasp had the nerve to sting my finger when I was looking for slugs and snails for Bean, our bantam that we inherited. On the plus side, I found time to play games with the boys - paper plane flying competitions, Spot It, Roblox and other games. I certainly need to brush up on my skills - they're ten times faster than me. I did feel quite slow and old!!" 📊 Wellbeing Scores: 😊 Happiness: 5/10 ⚡ Energy: 5/10 🎯 Focus: 4/10 😌 Calmness: 4/10 🌙 Sleep Quality: 5/10 ⭐ Average: 4.6/10 ✅ Activities from yesterday: ☀️ Morning Sunlight 💧 Stayed Hydrated 🥗 Healthy Eating 🍺 No Alcohol 🥩 Hit Protein Goal 🥦 Ate Vegetables 🍳 Home Cooked Meal 👥 Quality Time

This feels too intrusive just to join a workshop
Something feels off here. I just want to watch the workshops please without having to jump through all these hoops & giving you my information & pihoto.

🔥 Marshmallow o'clock
Another late summer night that got away from me… and honestly? Zero regrets. 🔥🍡 Sticky fingers, warm faces. I'm soaking up every last drop of these lazy evenings… but I'll be honest, a tiny part of me is starting to miss my rhythm. My earlier nights. My calm mornings. 🌿 Both can be true, right? And I think just knowing that the Challenge is going to start soon, already calms me down... the reassurance that everything is going to be fine again😃😂, like it did last time I did the Challenge 😃💖 For now though? One more marshmallow. 🍡

Daily Check -in
📅 Daily Check-in - August 21, 2026 💭 Reflection: "Today I'm working on the barn doors for my neighbour's shed. First, I need to demolish the wall and frame it for the doors. The thing that will be challenging is that the wall is all nailed in, so it is a lot more difficult to remove than if it were all screwed together. Off I go, and hopefully it will work out quickly. Have a great day, everyone!" 📊 Wellbeing Scores: 😊 Happiness: 7/10 ⚡ Energy: 7/10 🎯 Focus: 7/10 😌 Calmness: 7/10 🌙 Sleep Quality: 7/10 🔥 Motivation: 7/10 ⭐ Average: 7/10 ✅ Activities from yesterday: 🛏️ Good Sleep 🌙 Early Bedtime ☀️ Morning Sunlight 💧 Stayed Hydrated 🌬️ Breathwork 🚴 Cycling 🥗 Healthy Eating 🍺 No Alcohol 🍬 No Added Sugar ☕ No Late Caffeine 💊 Took Supplements 🥩 Hit Protein Goal 🥦 Ate Vegetables 🧘‍♂️ Meditation 🙏 Prayer 💚 Gratitude Practice 💭 Affirmations 🎯 Visualization ✨ Positive Mindset 🎯 Deep Work 🌅 Focused Morning 1️⃣ Single Tasking 📅 No Meetings 📚 Reading 🧠 Learning 🎓 Online Course 🤝 Helped Someone

@Linda Trup I did my time in the UK - a couple of years and that was it. I needed the sunlight from home. I couldn't get over how dark it was in winter. Went to work in the dark, came home in the dark. Didn't see any sun during the week. Much nicer here - well for the moment it is!!

@Linda Trup I totally agree with you on that one! Definitely easier to put more clothes on. I never understood what people were talking about when they struggled with sunlight deficiency. No problems understanding that now though! 😂
