State Two | The Tidal Heart
'I feel everything so deeply. Some days it's a gift. Other days, I don't know what to do with it all. There is so much tenderness in what you carry. And I think part of you already knows that. The second layer in the yogic map of the self is the Pranamaya Kosha — the energy body, the layer of feeling and flow. When we're moving through life primarily from this layer, emotions arrive with a lot of intensity. You might absorb the moods of the people around you before anyone's said a word. You might find yourself moved to tears by something small and beautiful, or unexpectedly undone by something you thought you'd already processed. This is the state of the Tidal Heart. Someone whose emotional world is genuinely rich... and genuinely tiring to navigate without the right support. Sometimes the waves feel manageable, even meaningful. Other times, they arrive all at once, and there's no clear shore in sight. And so there are days when you go a little numb just to keep moving, and then wonder later why everything feels so far away. You haven't done anything wrong. Sensitivity like this is one of the most quietly powerful things a person can carry. It just needs tending. When you understand the energy layer and how it moves through you, emotions start to feel less like something happening to you and more like something you can be present with. You develop a kind of inner spaciousness... the ability to feel fully without being swept away. Rest, for the Tidal Heart, becomes the place where all that feeling finally has room to settle. To learn more, join our VIP Supporters and gain access to our LIVE Five States of Rest We're starting right here, with the body layer, and I'll walk you through what it actually means to come home to yourself. Gently. Without pressure. Just a grounded conversation and a practice to bring you back to rest and community.

SHARE | Can you relate to this one? Tell me what's been moving through you lately... I'm genuinely here to listen.
Be honest — when did you last feel truly rested?
Not "I got eight hours." Not "I had a quiet weekend." I mean genuinely, deeply, fully rested — where your body felt light, and your mind felt calm, and you woke up actually restored. When did you last feel truly rested?

If you're landing on C or D — I want you to know that's not a personal failing. Your nervous system might just have been in survival mode for so long that it's lost access to the off switch. That's exactly what I'm here to talk about this month. 🙏✨ Stay with me.

"I'm so tired. But even when I lie down, I can't seem to actually rest." If you've said something to this effect, even just to yourself, I want you to know I hear you. And I want to share something that might bring a little relief. What you're describing has a name. In the yogic tradition, we understand the body as the first and most foundational layer of our experience... the Annamaya Kosha, or the food body. When this layer is struggling, rest feels impossible even when we desperately want it. The nervous system stays switched on. Sleep doesn't fully restore. There's a kind of bone-deep fatigue that just seems to linger no matter what you do. This is the state of the Rooted One — someone whose body is asking, very quietly and very persistently, for permission to feel safe. This is one of the five states I've been mapping in my work, and it's where so many people find themselves without ever realizing it (OVER 38% OF YOU)! The exhaustion feels personal. It feels like a failure. But it's actually the body doing exactly what it was designed to do (protect you) and just needing a little help learning that it's okay to stop. WHAT UNDERSTANDING THIS CAN OPEN UP FOR YOU When you can recognize yourself in this state, something subtly shifts. You stop fighting your body and start listening to it. Even simple things... the way you breathe, the way you transition into rest... begin to feel different. Sleep becomes more accessible, and that low hum of tension starts to ease. You don't have to overhaul your life. You just have to learn the language your body is already speaking. To learn more, join our VIP Supporters and gain access to our LIVE Rooted Ones Experience. We're starting right here, with the body layer, and I'll walk you through what it actually means to come home to yourself. Gently. Without pressure. Just a grounded conversation and a practice to bring you back to rest and community.

@Jason Brooker Only the VIP members got the inside scoop.
Your body has been trying to tell you something...
Maybe not in a dramatic way or with big symptoms or obvious signals. Just quietly... A heaviness that doesn't lift after a good night's sleep. A tension that's become so normal you've stopped noticing it. A low hum of 'I'm fine' that you repeat mostly to yourself. The next few weeks, I'm exploring with you what I call the States of Rest... Five phases of human experience... oscillating states that show up in the body before they show up in our awareness. The first one is the one seen most often... It's a nervous system that's been bracing for so long it's forgotten what it feels like to land. In a few days, I will share more with you about how we experience this state. SOMATIC CHECK-IN | Before you scroll or get pulled way: put one hand on your chest. Take one breath. Does your body feel like a place you want to be right now? No right answer. Just notice. Drop A WORD below that describes how your body feels today. I'll be reading every one.
