The one who introduced me...
My sister @Rj Spookie is the one who inteoduced me to rollerskating. I had skated on inlines as a kid, but never rollerskates. It's hard, but fun at the same time. Skating has become a way for us to reconnect as sisters and as adults. We didn't grow up in the best family, and were often pitted against each other. Skating has allowed us to get to know each other as individuals. Here is a clip of her pole dancing the last time we went skating. 🤣
Nutrition Guide 🥑
I made this nutrition guide to share with my SK8 fam. This is meant to be a simple resource for improving your overall health and fitness so that you feel like your best self when it's time to lace up. This guide was inspired by my personal fitness and SK8 journey, as well as my time in the Air Force as a Chef and fitness Specialist. Learning over time, the different foods to stay healthy and get some gains. I will release a video about this today for Day 54 of 100-day Skate School. Feel free to comment any thoughts or feedback!🕺🏽

Love it! As a former athlete, I've been figuring out ways to make healthful yet filling foods.
What's your skate name?
Has anyone chosen or been given a skate name? Maybe I chose mine as a self fulfilling mantra. "Auntie Slipp" I look at that name on my skate case before putting my skates on every time (left foot first always!) in hopes of a relatively safe skate, free of falls, anti slip. Keep the rubber side down 🛼🛼

Is earning a skate name the same as earning a trail name? Those who are avid trail hikers give each other nicknames and you're not allowed to give yourself one. I would love a skate name!
Backwards Skating
Tried getting a video of myself working on my backward skating and ate pavement.

@Hannah J Oh we absolutely do. My sister has def ate pavement from an acorn.
Practice = Ease
Y'all, I am astounded with how quickly I was able to get turning and bubbles down. Today I wanted to really focus on turning. I was able to do bubbles AND turn left! Turning right was a little more difficult; my legs would spread like a baby giraffe. 😂 But overall, I am proud of my progress. https://youtube.com/shorts/P4r51bl28iM?si=9FYJDx5N5fBXp7mc
