I’M CURIOUS ABOUT THE STORY BEHIND THIS CHOICE.
I’m finding myself more and more interested in plant-based eating. It feels like more than just a diet — more like a conscious decision or discipline. 👉 What made you decide to go plant-based? I'm genuinely interested.

@Gwynne Conlyn technically I'm not really "off" of things anymore. I just... eat food, and it's mostly plant-based. When I buy foods for myself to make at home, I wouldn't buy dairy. But last week as an example, I was at a celebration of life for my stepdad who just passed away. I ate what was served, and there may have been dairy in the mix. I didn't ask about ingredients but know at least one thing had gluten + think there was a sauce with dairy. I had no reaction or issue from what I ate and was more concerned with being present with friends and family. 🙂

@Erin Norwood Hey Erin -- before radical food and lifestyle changes, I had all sorts of issues (ulcers, acne, gas, constipation, high blood pressure, blood sugar swinging wildly, bloating... just a whole bunch of signs things weren't working!). I made the changes overnight on February 14, 2007, and on February 24 -- just 10 days later -- I was free. The biggest thing that changed for me is taking back control. I was never deficient in Aleve, aspirin, Ritalin, Tums, or anything else. I needed to give my body the tools and time to heal. I've still had moments where I had challenges that in the past I would have reached for medication. But the difference now is that I look for the root causes of any symptoms and focus on that. I'm willing to be in pain, if that pain is part of my body doing its job. I wouldn't be the one to personally help but strongly encourage you to remember that your body is beautifully made, and over time, you can surely take actions that bring it into balance. 🙂💖
