The goalkeeper coach wasn’t there tonight so I didn’t meet him but one of the other coaches did some stuff with me instead. I really enjoyed it and had lots of fun and I made some great saves! My mum told me she overheard them talking about me and that they were saying how good I am!!! The manager said the other keeper also doesn’t want to share game time so it will essentially come down to who he thinks is better based on pre season friendlies. So for now I will just continue going to training each week and go from there. The goalkeeper coach should be there next week so I’m excited to see what he will be like! So next season my team is merging with another team and some other adults and are hopefully going to be joining a women’s league, so 16+. Since it would be our first season we will be in division 4. I want to keep my options open and find the best possible pathway for me so yesterday I emailed a local teams manager asking for a trial, they play in the same league that my current team will be joining but in division one. He responded quite fast and I have been asked to come along to tomorrows training session 😃 The goalkeeper coach for my current team is leaving as his daughter is changing teams and he told me that whatever I decide to do next season, make sure I’m the only keeper at the club. I don’t know if this will be the case or not with the trial club but I guess I will find out tomorrow, either way it will be good experience and it will get me on the coaches radars, granted I play well of course. I believe they have a goalkeeper coach aswell which is good! I’m not necessarily going to leave my current club, just exploring options to give myself the best possible opportunity to achieve my dreams. Wish me luck!
