Replay: Tracking our monthly income and expenses co-working instructions
As business people, we need to be tracking our income and expenses. I know that it's tough to get started, so I am committed to doing this with you every month. I will show you how to do it, and then we will do it together. I am handing you this spreadsheet so you can do your financial tracking, too! Get out of your head and just do it! Honestly, you will be glad that you did. Make a copy of this tracker 1. Set up Tab - Change the income and expenses category to the categories you see on your statement 2. Transaction Tab -Date -Category -Transaction amount 4. Check the Profit and Loss Report for your progress 5. Repeat at the beginning of next month The three screenshots you see here are my Profit/Loss Pages for January and February 2026 1. Amazon FBA $594.47 Net Profit 2. Amazon KDP $211.53 Net Profit 3. Skool $2250.04 Net Profit 4. Next month, I will start another spreadsheet and track Jan-Mar for all my other business expenses (i.e., website, Zoom, etc.). 5. One step at a time! We've got this! What questions do you have?

@Sybil Hall once again, thank you for all the knowledge you provide us! I will definitely be making a copy of the spreadsheet.
The difference between reacting and understanding
One thing I notice with entrepreneurs all the time is this. We change something quickly. Then we change it back. Lower the price. Raise the price. Try something for two days. Then move on. But when we do this, we are usually missing something important. Conceptual understanding. Conceptual thinking is when you understand the system behind the action. Not just what to do. But why it works. Positive psychology tells us that people feel more confident and motivated when they understand meaning and patterns. When something makes sense, we feel calmer, more capable, and more in control of our progress. In business, this matters a lot. When you understand the concept behind something like pricing, marketing, or product listings, you stop reacting to every little change. You start observing. You give the system time to work. You begin to see patterns. That is where real learning and growing happens. Instead of asking, “Did this work in two days?” You start asking better questions like: • What is this system designed to do? • What signals am I actually measuring? • What pattern might show up if I give this time? Entrepreneurship becomes much less stressful when we shift from quick reactions to deeper understanding. That is the mindset that helps you build income without burnout. Your turn. Pick one system in your business today. Pricing. Marketing. Your product listing. Your email list. Ask yourself: Do I truly understand the concept behind how this works? If not, that might be the best place to focus your learning this weekend or next week. 👇 Tell us in the comments: What is one concept in your business you want to understand better right now?

This is precisely why I've taken a step back from a few things I was doing. I was doing too much and all over the place. I'm working on being more intentional and taking time to build better!
If you are building a business on the side…
working as an independent contractor… or working a 9 to 5 while trying to grow something of your own… listen up for a second. I have done all three. And here is the truth. Every single one of those roles taught me something that helped me become the entrepreneur I am today. I was a kindergarten teacher. A first grade teacher. A reading specialist. A fifth grade teacher. A sixth grade math and computer science teacher. An instructional coach for eight years. All of that taught me something important. How to teach. And if you are a Skool owner or building any kind of online business… you are an educator too. You are teaching something. The real skill that matters is learning from whatever you are doing right now to bring more income in. That learning compounds. Here is a real example from my life this week. Tomorrow I am hosting a co-working session that is collaborative between this community and the Female Finance Collective that I am part of and used to own. During the first ten minutes I will share the spreadsheets I use for both personal and business finances with you. I will teach you how to get started. Then we will work. Because it is my work time too. What I will be doing is going back through ans tracking February Amazon FBA numbers. This year I decided to separate my business platforms so I can clearly see what each one earns and spends what. So I now am tracking income separately for Amazon FBA Amazon KDP Audible Skool Each platform pays at different times, different amounts, and different schedules. They also have vastly different expenses. I already started my Amazon FBA spreadsheet last month with you in this group! Why do I do this at the beginning of every month and want you to join? Because my future self in April will be very grateful when March numbers roll around and everything is already organized. You yours will too. Tracking and managing our expenses and income reduces stress, allows us to reflect and learn from our real numbers, and gives you peace of mind.
