Just a small win!
Officially one week, 7 days smoke free! The cravings are there it isn’t getting any easier! Always trying to keep my mind occupied and staying busy at all cost! I have smoked since I was about 11, I will succeed but in this moment I am feeling weak!

@Lisa Cowick yes! There’s a lot of lollipops and hard candy floating around my house currently 😂 it’s made it a little easier (maybe) to have something to do with my hands constantly! Now it’s simply the habit I’m struggling with! After I eat, with my morning coffee and in a social situation but…. I’ve got this! And my husband still likes being around me so…. I must be ok! ❤️
Fear
How do you get over a fear you have no idea why your afraid of? I've always been afraid of deep water as early as I can remember. Even in a swimming pool if I go near the deep end I get wicked anxiety yet no idea why.

Yea similar to what coach said, I couldn’t understand why I had such fear at night which cranked up my anxiety by a ton.. until someone said once your memory blocks specific things… people… places out until you are “strong” enough to handle it.. your nervous system protects you until it can’t anymore .. it was eye opening when I could see the patterns pick up on the triggers so I could start to heal from these things..

@Devon Haggberg something that sticks with me still today that was once said in a therapy session “just because you feel a certain way doesn’t make it true” it really gave me perspective and still does when I find myself in a dark hole I really pay attention and be mindful to figure out the root of what’s coming up.. also something i have been told is “it’s ok to look back on your past but just don’t stay there” now everyday I try to look at things with a little more compassion for that inner child.
Monday Reflection and the now
Lately, I have been so focused on being in the present and the now. Before, I would only be focused on how can I get to where I want to be and how can I do it with speed. This gives way to stress, poor quality, overthinking and not enjoying the moment. This made me miss the true blessing of the opportunity and the journey. So, now I am taking it one moment and one event at a time for the rest of the day. Can you relate? Has this ever happened to you?
