We were officially approved as a Booking.com Super User, which is a huge step for the app. What that means: we can begin building the booking/affiliate side of 6DegreesApp more intentionally, so trusted recommendations can eventually connect to real booking opportunities inside the app. Right now, Booking.com has our region set to North America, and I’m already working with them to expand that to worldwide since 6DegreesApp is being built as a global trusted recommendation network. Where we are now: - 24 Founding Members - Beta app is in testing - Profiles, recommendations, messaging, saved recs, photo uploads, and booking infrastructure are being built in - We are working toward a public launch timeline of roughly 5 weeks, as long as testing, feedback, and final app review pieces stay on track If you’ve been watching this come together, now is the time to jump in as a Founding Member before we go public and momentum starts moving fast. Happy Sunday, everyone! How was everyone’s weekend? We made it home safely from Tennessee and I’m excited to get back to building with you this week. Quick 6DegreesApp update: the newest beta links are now posted inside the Founding Members module for both iPhone/TestFlight and Android testers. Unfortunately, my computer was damaged on the trip and needs to go into the shop, so I’m hoping it’s a quick fix and does not slow us down too much. We’re officially moving from “beta preview” into building toward a real public launch. The next goals are: ✅ Make account creation/login/profile setup smooth ✅ Make sure every user sees and edits their own profile correctly ✅ Strengthen recommendations: add, edit, save, retire, and search ✅ Keep improving messaging, blocking, privacy, and safety tools ✅ Build the standard user flow so the app works for more than just Founding Members ✅ Continue shaping the Founding Member upgrade path while spots are still open ✅ Start laying the foundation for affiliate links, payouts, subscriptions, and business profiles Also, quick shout out to @Kamal Ali for sharing a really smart support idea: as we grow, we’ll need a simple help flow inside the app, starting with FAQs, support email, and guided issue categories before ever jumping into expensive live support. That kind of feedback helps us think ahead and build this the right way. The goal is a stronger beta over the next couple of weeks, then moving toward a public launch-ready version after that.
