Closer Than You Think
Scripture:
“Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you.” — James 4:8
A lot of people think growing closer to Jesus means doing more — more reading, more praying, more trying. But intimacy with Jesus doesn’t start with effort… it starts with attention.
Jesus is not far away, waiting for you to prove yourself.
He’s right here — waiting for you to notice Him.
Growing closer to Jesus isn’t about becoming perfect.
It’s about becoming present.
When you slow down and sit with Him…
When you talk to Him in honesty…
When you open your Bible not out of duty, but hunger…
Something changes inside you.
You don’t graduate into His presence.
You return to it.
He’s not asking you to be impressive today.
He’s asking you to be with Him.
And the amazing truth?
Every single time you turn toward Jesus — even in weakness — He comes running with grace.
