“YouTube” Training Sessions For Your Own Team
We've all met that coach, haven't we? The one scrolling through YouTube at 7 PM, frantically searching for "best football drills" before tomorrow's session. Here's the uncomfortable truth: having a library of 500 drills means nothing if you don't know when, why, or how to use them. Read More Here

Striker play is much more than finishing Teach them to: ✓ Scan and read defensive setups ✓ Analyse defender body language ✓ Monitor goalkeeper positioning ✓ Create space for teammates ✓ Explain their movement choices Movement intelligence creates goals. Finishing technique completes them. https://www.skool.com/360tft-7374/classroom/43a0cb77?md=95b82833d8454b839dbe7b64581dd5a5

Coaching Stoppages
When I have to jump into an exercise to help players out, I always take a second to consider what is happening on the ball, around the ball, and away from the ball. As an example: The CB *on the ball* has 7 options available, with 5 *around the ball*. She may play it across to the GK, who then wants to play it into space for the LM to run onto (Away from the ball*). The LM may want to cross for the ST after this So you have: - CB has to pass to the back foot of the goalkeeper with pace so she can play the ball into space in front of the LM in 2 touches - LM needs to run into space - St needs to make the correct run - The crossing technique needs to be correct - Finishing technique needs to be correct A lot of variables! So if any of the actions break down, when you stop the game to correct it, consider what is happening on, away, and around the ball. Otherwise, you may find yourself stopping the action multiple times to fix breakdowns in the same phase of play. When you are coaching in a stoppage, what are your key points?

Why I Still Blog In 2025
For me, it is simple.... i think it is really important that we share ideas and experiences as a coaching community. This helps us gain feedback, makes us think, and helps us enhance the game together. The benefit of that? It helps the players that we work with. It might not help them make it pro, but it will hopefully help them stay in the game we all love, lifelong. Let me know your thoughts below.
