This is the first time I've ever made an animatic. I always just go from recording to building my scenes in photoshop, and then right into animating in Cartoon Animator. I have to work so fast, I skip the animatic step and just figure it out as I go - I work out the scenes in my head as I'm writing the script, and I create the different shots as I'm animating.
Honestly I don't even storyboard in the traditional sense. Sometimes I will lay out screenshots of the scenes and look through them as the audio plays to make sure it flows, but I don't make traditional storyboards. The key to my success on youtube has been the speed of my productions... every two weeks, a new long form video is posted, along with a compilation of previous videos.
Anyway - here's the starting point. I decided to add the baby dino at the end, that wasn't in the original script, but I realized it could be a cute "button" for the end of the video. I'm not sure what to do next, I'll watch the rest of the week 2 videos.
