Needle sizes.

Good morning everyone, I have a question about needles if you could please help me.

I'm using 4.5mm needles, to get the correct gauge. At the start of clue 1 it says to use larger needles. Is 5mm OK and do I use them for the whole of this section, I'm sorry if I have missed a needle change.

Also I slept rubbish last night, part of it, I'm sure, was because I came to have a look at the pattern....... at 1.30am 🤣 Its going to be a long day 🤣🤣
