My First Knit Along
Excited to embark on this new journey of discovery in knitting and stashbusting. This is a mix of mostly cotton; silk, cashmere, linen blends. The paler peachy shades are a thinnish DK, so I'll double them with the Simply Recycled beige yarn for my A colour. The variegated cotton/silk/viscose is colour B. The darks are C, with a bit of astrakhan for texture. The mauve cotton aran will be extra A as needed and the D framing as I've got a lot of it, frogged from another fairisle project that has been a WIP for over ten years! @Zanete Hussain what do you think of this yarn pile? Will using mostly cottons be ok? I'm looking at this as an autumn/spring jumper as I already have Icelandic and fairisle winter jumpers.

The Mystery Yokealong is back!
Our Mystery KAL is officially back for year three! We’re knitting a top-down round yoke sweater (or a steeked cardigan) together over seven weekly clues, kicking off on January 16th. This year, we’re leaning into stash-busting, so feel free to start hunting through your yarn collection now. You can get all the details on the Ravelry pattern page or here on Skool in the dedicated Classroom where I’ll also be posting all the relevant video tutorials as clues become available. We’d love for you to jump in and share your yarn picks, questions, and progress photos. Just use the "MYAL 2026" category for your posts. Heads up: we aren’t doing spoiler alerts this time, so feel free to post away in whatever way you like just as long as it is in that category! I can’t wait to see what you all come up with this year.

@Maira Benjamin I love the blue - can’t tell if it’s a blending color with C from the photo
Overwhelmed with stash!!
Thoughts on these combinations? A is the cream color, C is purple, and B is green or gold.

Both are lovely - personally - I like the gold combo best

@Sara Richards it sounds fun to use both!
Colour group A (main)
Anyone else a bit nervous of using different yarns for A as the main colour in case it looks odd/messy? My head says keep main colour same all through then swap and change others...

@Hayley Tollervey I think it’s harder to pick the colors before I know what the motifs looks like
