I’m so glad you’re here. This community is a supportive circle for artists who are ready to dust off hidden work, restart stalled projects, and step confidently into visibility. Let’s start by getting to know each other. Please introduce yourself by sharing a few or all of these: 🌍 Your name + where you’re from 🎨 What kind of art you make (or want to make) ✨ One hidden piece or project you’ve kept tucked away, or would like to begin again (a sketch, a painting, a dream idea, even just a description) 🌟 Why you're excited to be a part of the community 🔗 Links to your online portfolio, socials and/or websites Feel free to add a photo of yourself or a piece of your art if you’d like! This is your safe space to be seen, supported, and celebrated as an artist. I look forward to learning more about you and your creativity. Please select the "Introductions" category at the end of your Introductory post. 🙂

🎨 Share Your Work in the Projects category
The Projects category is where we bring our creativity out of hiding and into the circle. Whether it’s a painting, sketchbook series, collage, digital work, or even an idea you’re still mapping out—you can select this category when you make a post. (An example of this is shown in the image below.) Here’s how to get the most out of Projects: - Start a Post → Share what you’re working on (finished, unfinished, or in-progress). - Add Details → Tell us the story behind it: What inspired it? Where are you feeling stuck? What’s your next step? - Ask for Feedback → Let us know if you want encouragement, constructive thoughts, or simply a witness to your process. - Engage With Others → Comment, celebrate, and support fellow artists—you never know how your words could spark their next breakthrough. 💡 Remember: No project is too small, too unfinished, or too “imperfect” to share. This is a place to experiment, reveal, and reboot—together. Can’t wait to see what you’re working on. _____________ ADDITIONAL RESOURCE, IF YOU NEED A GUIDED STRUCTURE: 👇🏾 When you’re ready to post about your project, feel free to copy + paste this template into your post (and fill it in your way): Project Title: [Give your project a name, even if it’s just a working title] Medium/Style: [Painting, sketch, mixed media, digital, collage, etc.] Current Stage: [Idea / Work-in-progress / Almost finished / Revisiting old work] What Inspired This Project: [Share the story, spark, or intention behind it] Where I Feel Stuck or Curious: [Optional — What feedback, encouragement, or ideas would help?] Next Step I Plan to Take: [Even if it’s just a small action — what’s next for you?] Image(s): [Upload a photo or two, or even a sketchbook peek] ------------------- - Image 1: How to select the Projects category when making a post - Image 2: How to only view posts relating to Projects

I Recovered 3 Cartoon Drawings From Way Back When
I have a box full of drawings from my childhood, which I would like to create a book from. In a YouTube video entitled, “Visual Interpretations of 3 Classic Cartoon Characters!”, I am showcasing 3 drawings with my own spin on them. In this video, there is a bit of verbal history in relation to the classic characters being drawn. May this video encourage you to uncover and revisit your old drawings, perhaps with a bit of nostalgia.

Rebooting by Drawing Cartoons
Remember the books you used to learn how to create art, especially those related to drawing or painting? I’ve recently obtained books from my childhood—𝘋𝘳𝘢𝘸𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘍𝘢𝘮𝘰𝘶𝘴 𝘊𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘰𝘰𝘯 𝘊𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘴, and 𝘏𝘰𝘸 𝘵𝘰 𝘋𝘳𝘢𝘸 50 𝘍𝘢𝘮𝘰𝘶𝘴 𝘊𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘰𝘰𝘯𝘴, by Lee J. Ames. They have rekindled a desire to draw and sketch regularly, much like I used to do in the past. I have a recent YouTube video which features one of these books, which encourages artists to revisit the material which they began to learn from. The video, "If You Grew Up Drawing Cartoons, This One’s for You 🎨”, also has amusing outtakes, which a number of people told me they enjoy. Post your books here! What started you on your journey? What books have you picked up to continue expanding about what you know?
