I thought I'd take a minute and explain what Substack IS for those who are new to the idea of using Substack for visibility...
Grab your cuppa this is gonna be long...
Substack is actually a bunch of things put together in a powerful way and leaves room for individual creation so not just one way to amplify your voice, monetize your mission & get visible.
It is free, has no advertising and you can download your content as well as your subscriber list -
First off, it's a newsletter - so you build a subscriber base that your content is emailed to directly. The publication side is a lot like the old days newspaper in that you can divide it up into sections rather than creating more than one publication (remember the funnies, front page, sports, social sections?)
In your newsletter you can create a podcast (with an rss feed to send your content out to other podcast distribution channels automatically) you can create video content and Substack will make you shorts (and post them to youtube automatically) and you can create text formatted content. You can create sales pages, landing pages and email your list outside of creating content too. And you can create links to direct people to other spaces not on Substack along the "menu"
You can create paywalled content and get paid subscribers, I teach a variety of ways to do this without having to create paywalls...
Okay, now for the other side - the NOTES section.
The Notes section is the "social media" side of things. Your content automatically gets shared over there as well as going out to your subscribers/email list. You can also create notes - like x or instagram or facebook but generally more thoughtful content goes there less markety sort of messages.
In the Classroom section you will find the Quick Start Guide to Getting Started on Substack.
As a premier member of this community not only will you get access to the Podcast Launch Magic Advent Event you will also get access to the Substack Alchemy Intensive where I walked a group of people through the process of setting up their Substack step by step. (16 hours of content designed to empower you to use Substack in the way that lights you up and shares your message in a way that feels aligned and is profitable)
