Day two here and I've already changed my focus. First one was too broad; now that I understand more about how communities, and especially, classrooms, work, I've figured out my niche. At least the one im going to start with. Bedbugs! And roaches and earwigs and bats and birds and skunks and.... basically, whatever pest(s) you've got. Well, not EVERY pest - i don't deal with the ones you picked and/or birthed. Yes, spouses and kids can be pests - but no, I'm not licensed to treat for those. And I wouldn't anyway. I am one of those big wusses who hates to kill anything - even mice, rats, etc. I'm Canadian, so no, I've never held an actual gun. AND i live on the waterfront, and the notion of doing any unnecessary damage to the environmentdoes not appeal. So no glue traps for rodents; no broad lspectrum pesticides where something else more specific will do, and I do everything in my power to avoid killing anything unnecessarily. Except bedbugs and roaches, mainly. Well, and nasty, aggressive wasps that are too close for comfort. Those must die! So! While I build out my skool and figure things out, I'd love to hear about any pest problems, questions, or ideas you have. Even happy to hear about your concerns about the damages you think pesticides do, and discus ways to mitigate those and clear up any of the myths we may come across. It angers me that some pest control pros tell bold faced lies far too often - I'll tell you the truth to the best of my knowledge. If there's anything at all you're interested in re pests, I hope you'll drop me a note. I'd love to hear from you.
