I wrote a big long message to start off with, then had to get up in a hurry and run to the washroom and do you think I thought to save it first? Or copy it, just in case?
That is hilarious, actually! Oh, probably not to you, I know, but a big part of what is written has been about another site. Gather was a social media revenue-sharing site for writers way before those became ubiquitous.
And losing my work? That was oh so common on Gather, just like here. That's not the reason I was thinking or writing about it though - i was comparing the ~feel~ of Gather to Skool. I loved the communities and connections we developed on Gather. Some of them are still so important, decades later. But no site since had offered that kind of community-building potential.
None have felt right. Until now. Skool feels like it might well be the place!
Which is exciting on its own.
Combine that with potentially helping people move forward? That would be awesome.
