When Your Practice Speaks Back to You
I stepped onto my mat tonight with gratitude as my intention. Gratitude for my body, my breath, my journey, and the space to slow down. But as I moved, breathed, and softened, another word kept rising in my spirit over and over again: Kindness. Not loud. Not forced. Just steady… like a whisper I couldn’t ignore. It reminded me that sometimes the intention we choose isn’t the intention we need. Gratitude grounded me, but kindness asked me to go deeper. To soften my expectations. To release the pressure. To treat myself with the same gentleness I offer others. Tonight’s yoga and sound bath experience felt like a quiet conversation with my inner self — a reminder that this season is calling me to move with more compassion, more grace, and more kindness in everything I do. Grateful for the practice. Grateful for the message. Grateful for the shift. Have you ever had a word keep coming up during practice? What was it for you?
