Yaprendí que...
Hola mi gente... listen, this space is all about reflection. We are not trying to be perfect. We are sharing what we know with other people along the same journey. No pressure. Come to this space whenever you learn something new and you want to share with the community! You may have something to share that others need to learn too! Begin each post in this space as follows: "Yaprendí que (insert something new you learned)" If you want to be gramatically correct because you are working to improve your writing skills in Spanish- you can write "Ya aprendí que..." instead. Consider the following for your posts in this space: Anything you’ve learned or realized recently about: - a new vocab or grammar concept in Spanish - your process and what is helping you or keeping you stuck - interactions you've had in Spanish and what they taught you You can write in English, Spanish, or Spanglish.

Live Session Themes!
Posting this again to get more responses! Which type of session would you most likely attend to practice your Spanish skills in this club? All three will become available soon, but I wanna see what our current community is most drawn to 👀 - We can also adjust the learning level for each session type!

¡¿Qué onda güey?!
¡Qué onda Yaprendices! This week we're exploring español de México! Let's get into it! Let's start with some of my favorite phrases in Mexican Spanish! ¿Qué onda? = Qué pasa = what's up. I love it because it's literally like "what's the wave"- which feels is cool. By the way- "onda" and "ola" are both words that mean "wave" in Spanish. Güey - dude / guy- usually pronounced without the "g" sound- more like "wey" Mande - a response like, "yes?" No manches - be for real!? Stop playin'!! Qué padre - How cool! / That's dope! Chavo/ chava - guy / girl If you are curious about more common Mexican expressions- definitely check this out! Your challenge this week is to comment below your favorite Mexican Spanish phrases in the community. Let's see if you can get a conversation going around it en español!
Un Vale Canjeable: Yaprendí con Telenovelas
Hola Yaprendices! 💡 Okay so it's lookin' like I’m gonna have to reschedule today’s Yaprendí con Telenovelas live session. Did you know a "raincheck" is "vale canjeable" in Spanish? That's what we're gonna do with this one. Un vale canjeable 🎟️ Anyways...I honestly did not consider the fact that it’s "Easter Sunday"- which typically means people are with family, at church, etc..., and with most of our members unavailable, I want to make sure we have a better turnout so the session feels more fun, interactive, and worth your time ✨ When you have a moment, please drop a comment below with: 🗓️ An ideal day that works for you ⏰ A time you’d realistically show up I’ll reschedule based on what works best for the majority! Hopefully we can make this happen later this week!!
