Creating A Spirit Abode Of You
You will create your spirit abode, a living symbolic vessel of yourself, using brown clay to represent Earth, body, and ancestral grounding. As you shape the figure, you will empower it by embedding personal life-force links a strand of your hair, a small piece of worn clothing, 3 drops of your blood from index finger and left hand and your full name written by your own hand binding the vessel to your identity. When the figure is complete, breathe into it three times, spit 3 sprays of water and pray to it directly, speaking your needs for money, health, protection, clarity, or direction. Call your own name three times to awaken self-recognition, then call upon your ancestors by speaking your mother’s first name, followed by “those who came through her to bring me into this world.” Ask your ancestors to witness this work and assist according to balance, wisdom, and right order, understanding that this spirit abode responds to your discipline, actions, and respect. If you have questions please ask here.

Ritual of The Week 9/21/25
: Water of Clarity & Protection ■ Purpose To cleanse away confusion, block negative energy, and invite clarity, balance, and ancestral guidance for the week ahead. ■ Materials • 1 clear glass bowl or cup of fresh water • 1 white candle (for purity and guidance) • A small pinch of salt (for cleansing) • A few herbs or leaves if available (basil, sage, or bay leaf; or any local cleansing leaf) • A quiet space ■ Steps **Prepare the Space** – Place the bowl of water on a clean surface. Add a pinch of salt and, if available, add herbs or a bay leaf. Set the white candle beside it. **Invocation** – Light the candle and say: 'Ancestors and guiding spirits, clear away confusion and darkness. Let this water carry protection, clarity, and balance into my life this week.' **Cleansing Action** – Dip your fingers into the water and gently sprinkle it around yourself (or lightly rub on your forehead, hands, and feet). If in class, students can each touch the water and cleanse their own forehead. **Affirmation** – Together, recite: 'I walk in clarity. I stand in truth. No weapon formed against me shall prosper. My path is open and protected.' **Closing** – Leave the candle burning safely until it finishes or for at least 15 minutes. The water can be poured outside at the base of a tree or onto the earth, returning the energy back to nature. ■ Weekly Guidance Best done on **Monday morning** (to start the week fresh) or **Sunday evening** (to prepare). If done as a group in class, each student connects to the bowl of water, sharing one energy of gratitude or intention before cleansing themselves.
