The Announcement (It is a long one, but stick with it so you know what & why things are changing.
Hi friends,
I want to share some real changes happening in Red Thread Writers — changes I've been thinking about for a long time, and that I'm finally ready to make. This community has grown into something I'm proud of, and, like any growing thing, it needs a little pruning and reshaping to stay healthy.
Here's what's coming, in plain language.
We're moving to three membership tiers, each with a specific role. No more wondering which level is "for you" — each one is built for a specific stage of the writing and publishing journey.
✍️Writer — for writers who are building the habit, learning the craft, and finding their voice. Community access, monthly Writers Circle, the library of past teachings, and the support of writers who get it. This is home base. If you're early in the journey, or you want a soft, steady place to keep showing up, this is your tier.
🔥Finishliner — for writers who are ready to finish the book. This tier comes with structured support, the 90-Day Manuscript Sprint🚀 (more on this below), small-group accountability, and direct guidance from me on getting your manuscript across the finish line. If you've been circling your book for a year or more, this is the tier that breaks the spell.
👯Author Studio — for serious authors who want hands-on guidance and the closest possible work with me. Limited to ten seats. Includes everything in Finishliner plus monthly 1:1 strategy, premium support across publishing decisions, and a $1,000 publishing credit if you ultimately choose to publish with Red Thread Books. This is for the writers ready to treat their book like the professional project it is.
Each tier is a doorway. You step into the one that matches where you actually are.
🚀 June 1: the 90-Day Manuscript Sprint begins 🚀
For all Finishliner and Author Studio members, we're kicking off a 90-Day Manuscript Sprint starting June 1. Here's the simple version:
✅ Ninety days.
✅ Structured weekly check-ins.
✅ Clear milestones.
✅ A finished (or significantly closer to finished) manuscript on the other side.
I've watched too many beautiful books stay 80% done for years. This sprint is the medicine. If you're in Finishliner or Author Studio on June 1, you're in. No extra cost, no extra application — you're already in.
If you're not in those tiers yet but you want to be in the sprint, now is the time to upgrade.
😴 About inactive members — a kind but honest note😴
Some of you have been here for a long time without engaging, and that's okay — life happens. But I want this community to feel alive, current, and full of writers who actually want to be here.
So here's what's happening: over the next week, members who haven't engaged or replied to personal outreach will be contacted one more time. If we don't hear back by June 1, you'll be gently removed from the community to make room for active members.
This isn't punishment. It's care — for the community, and for you. If Red Thread Writers isn't where you are right now, that's completely okay, and the door is always open to come back later. But the community can't be at its best with hundreds of quiet seats.
If you want to stay — just reply to my outreach or post in the community before June 1. That's it. One word is enough.
📌 A note for our collaborative authors📌
If you've been part of one of our collaborative anthologies — you have Premium-tier access (now called Finishliner) included for three months after your book's publication date. That's our gift and our way of staying close while your launch unfolds.
After those three months, you'll get to choose how you want to continue. Stay in Finishliner. Move to Writer. Step into Author Studio. Or take a season off. There's no wrong answer — but there will be a real choice point, and I'll reach out personally to each of you when your three-month window is closing.
🆕 Something new is coming for serious authors🆕
I'll just say this for now: there's a new program coming this summer for authors who are ready to take their book seriously from manuscript through publication — every step, with elite guidance, in a small cohort of fellow writers.
Details soon. If you've been waiting for the next level of support — keep your eyes here.
And for our published authors — you're not forgotten
Whether you've published a solo book with Red Thread or you've contributed to one of our collaborative anthologies, the work doesn't end at the launch. Specialized post-publish support is part of what we're building, too — marketing, awards strategy, the next book and how to use the one you have. Anthology contributors, especially, you have a beautiful platform in those books, and we're going to help you use it.
More on this soon, but know that it's coming.
What this all means in one sentence:
We're getting clearer, tighter, and more useful — for the writers who actually want to write, finish, and publish their books.
If that's you, you're in the right place. Welcome to what's next.
With you always, Sierra
