Do you have an action plan this week?
At the beginning of the week, I decided I would help one person a day. Whether it be here in Skool or out in my local community, it doesn't matter as long as I stick to my plan to help..
So far, I'm on track.
YESTERDAY'S HIGHLIGHT>
The sweetest thing happened yesterday. I'm ailing a bit, but I had to head out to the local store to get supplies. As I stood by my car, 2 lovely elderly folk were standing outside the Chinese Restaurant. I could hear them chatting as I filled my car with groceries.
I listened, knowing they weren't local. They were looking for a place to go for dinner. Instead of jumping in and driving away, I hovered a little and waited. I could tell they needed assistance. Eventually, they looked at me and asked for help. "Do you know if Subway is open in town?" I didn't, I phoned. It wasn't.
We stood together, strangers, while I made some calls and found them options. They were so grateful and offered to take my trolley back. Instead, I walked with them and then watched as they walked off into the sunset to their dinner destination, hand in hand. My heart was full.
A choice to help someone without receiving return could provide you with a golden moment and will definitely grow you as a person.
