Second, those of us who love to go look for rocks, collect rocks, hold rocks, buy rocks, etc. REALLY rock! 😂 and this is the place for us. Please take the time to introduce yourself by answering these questions: Where are you joining from? When did your love of rocks start? What is your favorite kind of rock? Glad you're here! Jamaica

Most peaceful rockhounding spot
The spot I grew up going to look for rocks is the north shore of Lake Superior. I feel such a sense of peace when I'm on the big lake. I love listening to the waves hit the shore while I'm looking for agates or sea glass. So much of the material has been picked over, but when the water level is low, you can access beaches that haven't been picked over as much. Here are some pictures of "Grandpa Ken's beach" - it's now a part of Tettegouche State park on the north shore, but we used to go there before it was state park property. It's one of my favorite beaches up there!! đŸ€©

What is it about rocks?
I adore rocks that sparkle. That's why I love pyrite, and druzy quartz... vanadinite, dioptase, of course clear quartz, amethyst, etc.... a lot of those minerals from India - especially in the sun, they are just so pretty! What is it about rocks for you?đŸ€©
