"What was the rock, crystal, or fossil that got you interested in rockhounding?" Mine would probably be finding a unique crystal that made me realize how much beauty nature hides beneath our feet. I'd love to hear everyone's story and maybe see some photos too

Mine was first agates, but I remember being at some kind of local market and seeing the most beautiful piece I’d amethyst that I then ended up buying. I was probably around 10 when that happened! Attached are pictures of my favorite eye agates!
