Considering the summer of the bot invasion, I get concerned when members of the community drop their direct email address, social handle, and / or maybe their telephone number in the comments on Posts.
Bots would be great at harvesting this contact information especially if the post is made searchable on search engines. There is a hide profile from search engines that is disabled by default. It doesn't bother me if my profile gets searched or not. However, I am willing to accept the risks of my profile gets searched by search engines.
One way for community members to communicate with each other before they are level 6 would be using the Free Zachdiscord.com discord server. I am also a member of the discord community. However, I am less active on it once Zach and Rick stopped doing the closing table on Friday nights. I really got a lot from the closing table discussions. I also understand that we are all limited to 168 hours per week. One direct messaging contact that I believe the admins would be cool with would be to signup for Zachdiscord.com and then simply drop your handle in the comments on posts so that you can chat with each other in a safe manner. You would need to do a friend request to get the ball rolling. I am sure if the contact turns spammy you should be able to unfriend them although I haven't had to do that yet on the discord server. Once the friend request is accepted you would be able to DM, video call, or voice call. I was going to promote a complete solution using Zoom and 10 minute email accounts etc. But I figure the admins may not like the post if I do. The thing the Zoom would allow you to do that I am not sure discord would allow you to do would be to share your desktop. Then again I am probably wrong because Zach and Rick both shared their desktop many times during the closing day.
The reason I have created this post is that depending upon how active you are in the community it may take you a while to level up to level 6 unless of course your a bot ;)
