Literature Lab uses Fahrenheit 451 as a starting point for exploring big questions about knowledge, technology, and society. Over four weeks, students participate in guided discussions that connect the novel to philosophy, human behavior, and modern culture. The focus is not on right answers, but on learning how to ask thoughtful questions and think deeply about important ideas.

Using "A Wrinkle in Time" as our guide, this 4-week Literature Lab explores questions about time & space, quantum physics and good vs. evil. Through thoughtful discussions, students consider how environment, choices, and relationships shape who we become. The focus isn’t on finding the “right answer,” but on learning how to think deeply and see the world from different perspectives.

Welcome to our Literature Lab for The Outsiders. This space is for curious readers who enjoy thinking about stories and the ideas inside them. As we read together, we’ll explore big questions about identity, loyalty, and the divides that shape our world. There are no “right answers” here—just thoughtful discussion and new ways of seeing the story.

We’ll read together & pause along the way to explore deeper ideas in the story. When big themes come up, we’ll stop & dive deeper— researching historical examples, seeing how these issues show up & affect our world today. The goal is to use literature for curiosity & learning. Stories help us ask big questions about human nature, society, & the choices we make. We’ll follow questions that spark our interest & explore them together through thoughtful convos, reflection, & discovery.
