One of the things that is under-said in the world today is the value of enthusiasm. Enthusiasm looks and feels different for each of us. What tends to be true for many is that enthusiasm is a result of an outside event. You book a vacation, and now you have enthusiasm, which amplifies as the days get nearer. You buy something new and there is a sense of enthusiasm. Sometimes the need to feel enthusiasm goes overboard, and we chase that feeling through intense workouts, spending money, chasing sex, or rushing to find the latest "guru." I made this SKOOL so these topics can be talked about in the open. How often does someone ask you what makes you feel passion? How often do you allow yourself to act on your deep sense of enthusiasm? The word itself comes from the Greek entheos, "the god within." So maybe enthusiasm was never meant to come only from outside. The sage Hillel, who lived about 2,000 years ago, put the Golden Rule this way: "What is hateful to you, do not do unto others." The Baal Shem Tov, a rabbi from the 1700s whose name means "Master of the Good Name," taught that joy is the doorway. Start with how you treat yourself, and the dreams get a chance to come true. So on this Sunday, share in the comments what makes you feel alive. Tomorrow I will share a post about what a man named Patanjali shared about the power of enthusiasm. He is another figure from the past, from the Yoga tradition, who compiled the Yoga Sutras roughly 1,800 to 2,000 years ago. Mind you, he never talks about Butterfly Pose, or Running Man Pose, or Trikonasana. I woke up this morning excited to run weekly maintenance with my AI workers who keep me sane, then I went surfing. The wave was so tiny, but good practice and fun in the sun. I also got super excited to build an entry portal to help make your digital life even easier. If you have yet to look at the course "How ICM Cleans Your Files and Folders," go download the kit and experience how exciting it is to have a clean and organized digital environment.
