Update: What’s Changing and What’s Staying the Same
Hey everyone, Elwyn here. Members of our coaching community will have already received this news, but I just wanted to share an update here as well for everyone in the DIY community, which is staying right where it is. Every so often, the team and I take time to review how things are running across Pixelhaze Academy, Pixelhaze Studio, and our Skool communities. This year’s review showed that we’ve been spreading our time across too many areas. We’re now simplifying things so that this free community receives more of our focus and support. Here’s what’s happening: The DIY community stays exactly as it is, completely free and open to all. You will continue to get guides, resources, and regular updates to help you build or improve your Squarespace website at your own pace. You’ll start to see more free help and direct support here. As the coaching group merges into this community, we’ll post more Q&A threads, tutorials and tips to give you better guidance while you build. Our Done-With-You support is changing to a pay-as-you-go model. If you ever need one-to-one help, you’ll soon be able to book short, affordable sessions when you need them. There’s no ongoing plan, just expert help when you need it. Our Done-For-You projects continue through Pixelhaze Studio. This is ideal for anyone who wants a full, professional website built and managed from start to finish. If you were part of the old coaching programme, you’re still covered. Please send me a direct message here on Skool, and we’ll arrange a one-on-one session to ensure you have everything you need. Our goal is simple: to help more people, with clear options and better focus. If you haven’t already, sign up at pixelhaze.academy for updates, free resources, and early access to book sessions once the new system is live. Thanks for being part of this community and for continuing to support what we’re building together. Cheers, Elwyn
What’s your one big goal for this autumn?
Now that the summer break’s winding down (for those of us up north of the equator), it’s a good time to get clear on what you actually want to move the needle on before the end of the year. I’m hearing the same handful of targets from designers and small business owners: - Finally revamping the website - Giving SEO some proper attention - Getting consistent on social media - Training AI content so it sounds like you - Pressing the big scary red button and taking the site live Those are the big hitters. But maybe your autumn focus is something else entirely. What’s the one thing that, if you nailed it before Christmas, would make the biggest difference to your business? Drop it in the comments. I’m curious to see what’s coming up for everyone. I will get back to everyone who leaves a comment with a series of tips and a personalised plan. Cheers, Elwyn

Drop in and say hi!
This should have been the first message on the group, but you live and learn! Hey everyone! Welcome to our community! This is the place to introduce yourself, share a bit about your background, and let us know what skills you want to develop here. I'll pin this thread to the top so new members can easily find it. You might have noticed that messaging and contacting other members is locked until you reach level 2. This helps us prevent spam and ensures everyone is here to help and learn, not just sell. If you're ready to jump in and lend a hand, the Pixelhaze team and I will be on the lookout to support you and like your posts. I'm really looking forward to hearing your story...

Be Right, or Win?
I heard this on a podcast years ago. Can't remember which one, but the line stuck with me. Do you want to be right, or do you want to win? That question changed how I deal with tricky client conversations.I used to push hard to prove I was right. Every. Single. Time. But being right doesn't always move things forward. Sometimes it just kills momentum or wears down the relationship. Now, I take a breath and think about what the project needs. Is this the hill to die on? Or can I steer things back on track without turning it into a debate? It works. More than I expected. Need help with things like this? Head over to the Mainframe Knowledge Base. It's completely free and full of support articles for designers, freelancers and business owners. All written in plain English. If this mindset has helped you too — or you’re stuck in a mess with a client — leave a comment. Cheers, Elwyn

Be Right, or Win?
Socials question
Just wondering if anyone has got any experience of this? I post on socials most days for my business. I am wondering what the winning ratio is for selling/ informational posts. (As in would I put one hard sell post in my socials per week mixed in with information posts photos etc, or is that too many.) Socials is such hard work and a never-ending job! Does anyone else who's running their own business find this? X
