⚡ Quick Squarespace Tip: Per-Post Canonical Tags
Just ran into this on a client site — if you're republishing blog content in Squarespace, you'll need to manually set a canonical tag for each post to avoid SEO penalties. Squarespace doesn’t support this natively, but there’s a reliable JavaScript workaround that adds a canonical tag directly into the <head> — works on Business or Commerce plans. Squarespace Footer Update!
It's a small tweak, but a significant one for us. You can now add saved sections to the Squarespace footer region and save footer sections as sacred areas. For Squarespace designers, this reduces the amount of duplication needed to build a new site, allowing seasonal announcements to be added to the footer with ease. I am currently reconfiguring SquareForge.net to make the most of this new tweak. The Pixelhaze Team approves! 🙂

Photos in uploads on website
Just wondering if anyone had any idea of this? In my squarespace uploads I have multiple duplicate photos. I'm not sure which individual photo is linked to the one showing on my website. My question is, if I delete duplicates from my uploaded gallery, will that effect the images on the website? ( As in, are they linked to the gallery.) Or can I safely delete all but one of the duplicate images in the knowledge that it won't effect my website photos. TIA. X
