Painting on slightly damp paper
I,m planning a course for the classroom area based on the topic of water control. This is what creates atmosphere in paintings. The images below show the first stages of watercolors where I worked on the slightly damp surface to create a misty background.
I wait for that to dry before adding the next layer or glaze, or elements like cars and figures which appear in sharper focus.
