Defence against a frontal choke
Another good self-decense tip. Notice how she doesn't just raise her arm but she lifts her whole side up so she can put her weight into the blow. Reminder to be careful while practicing and do things slowly at first to reduce the risk of injury. Always stretch before hand. I tried this with my wife and also did it on my knees to simulate the height of a child. Thanks to the angle created with a standing adult, this move seems to work even for children but consider the strength advantage. If you have a child to try it with, let the group know if it actually works for them. When was the last time you were in a fight?
Even if it was just sparring (for real not just playing around for a couple of seconds), when was the last time you were throwing hands and moving feet? It has been a long time for me and I would like to try some light sparring. Anyone in my area up for it? bear in mind I am 65 years old with a heart condition and am on blood thinners. Well on second thought, maybe I will stick to shaddow boxing and watching/practicing with videos. Anyone up for that?
