Another Side-by-Side Comparison

I have tested a few more decants received from some of our Brothers and i wanted to make sure I posted the review. The first fragrance is Madagascar Man by Blackcliff Parfums and Cuir by Yves Saint Laurent.

Madagascar Man's Opening is quite pungent with some green tones underneath. At 15 Min - the pungency of the opening has settled down and there is some sweetness coming through most likely from the Amber and Tonka. 30 Min - This fragrance has really settled down and is starting to smell quite nice. At this point i am getting some sweetness, spicy, and animalic accords that are very well blended and working quite well off my skin. 120 Min - The full dry down on this fragrance has turned out to be amazing. The fragrance is a slightly sweet and slightly animalic/musky scent that projects quite well off the skin. Projection of this fragrance is quite good during the first few hours with a scent bubble that is about 2+ feet. I will definitely be adding this decant into my fall / winter rotation.

Cuir's opening is very dry with some light undertones of Violet. 15 Min in the overpowering dryness of the opening has settled but the fragrance is still quite woody. 30 Min - The fragrance has settled down significantly and I now get a woody and leathery scent with a slight sweet creaminess in the background. 120 Min - The final dry down on this fragrance is very good. It is a woody and leather scent that would be amazing as a base layering with a sweet or citrus fragrance over the top. Projection of this fragrance is moderate during the first few hours with a scent bubble that is about 2 feet. I will be adding a full bottle of this fragrance into my collection.
