Afternoon alternative - Lanco manual wind 51051
This is my other Lanco, I've posted about the 1950/60s one and the company here. From the font used on the name it is from the last few years, just before production ended in 1973. The movement is a 2461 and an Internet search indicates 2461 is either Tudor or Tissot. The Tudor 2461 is an automatic movement and can be seen in the last image, obviously not the Tudor movement. The Tissot 2461 is the image before and is identical to the Lanco movement, in image three, which makes sense because in 1965, the Langendorf Watch Company was bought by “Société Suisse pour l’Industrie Horlogère SA” (SSIH) which was itself the result of a 1930 merger between Omega and Tissot. The Tissot 2461 was used from 1971 placing the date of this watch somewhere from 1971 to 1973.
