…and why I was posting leaflets through doors 😅
Before we offered management to other landlords, we had to get really good at running our own. And I mean everything.
✅ Smooth check-ins
✅ Fast turnarounds
✅ Guest issues, damages, and reviews
✅ High occupancy, week after week
We didn’t want to “sell” a service until we knew it actually worked.
So we built systems. We automated things.
We made every mistake, but learned from each one.
And once we proved it worked — we knew we could help others do the same.
But here’s something I’ll never forget:

Me, walking around Newcastle with a pile of leaflets I’d made the night before.
I designed them myself in 2–4 hours, hit the streets, and posted them into every apartment block and house I could find.
It was nerve-racking, but I had to do it.
Because at HNFC Stays, we don’t shy away from new challenges — we accept them.
That’s how we got from R2R to managing a full hotel building in 2025.
We’re still learning. Still growing. Still improving.
