📊 Build a Free CRM in Google Sheets (With Dashboards and Automated Reports)
Okay, so today's guide shows you how to build a functional CRM in Google Sheets without paying for Salesforce, HubSpot, or any of the dozens of other tools that promise to organize your sales process.
I'm writing this because I just went through this exercise again for our appointment setting team. And I learned something that took me way too long to figure out.
Back in 2020, I would spend weeks evaluating paid CRMs. Salesforce. HubSpot. Monday.com. Pipedrive. The list goes on. I'd set them up, customize them, train the team, and then... we'd slowly migrate back to Sheets. Every single time.
Why? Speed.
One of my principles with everybody on our team is speed. If there's a faster way to do something, I advocate for it. And nothing is faster than Sheets. You can make the argument that Sheets is disorganized or limited or whatever. Fine. But the paid tools are all slower. They cost money. And when you're just starting with a new process, you don't even know if you're going to stick with it.
So this time around, I decided to just build in Sheets from the start. And here's what changed... I actually felt empowered to do it.
