Good morning, friends, and Happy Wednesday!
Weβre halfway through the week already, and this morning I just want to remind you of something I need to remind myself of sometimes too.
We donβt have to carry everything.
I donβt know what kind of week youβve had so far. Maybe things are going great. Maybe your plans have completely changed. Maybe youβre tired, worried about someone you love, waiting on an answer to prayer, or carrying something in your heart that nobody else even knows about.
Whatever it is, God knows. And He is right there with you.
π Todayβs Scripture
βGod is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.β
Psalm 46:1 ESV Bible Translation - ESV English Standard Version.pdf
I love those words, βvery present.β
Not far away.
Not too busy.
Not waiting for us to get everything figured out.
Present. Right here. Right now.
Sometimes I think we put so much pressure on ourselves to have all the answers, fix every problem, take care of everybody, and keep pushing no matter how tired we are.
But God never asked us to do life without Him.
So today, Iβm choosing to slow down a little and remember where my strength really comes from.
Maybe you need that reminder too. β€οΈ
π A Little Wednesday Challenge
Before you get too far into your day, spend a few quiet minutes with God.
Open your Bible and actually sit with His Word for a while.
Thank Him for getting you through the first half of this week.
Think about somebody who might need encouragement and reach out to them.
And that thing youβve been worrying about over and over again?
Give it to God.
π Letβs Pray
Heavenly Father, thank You for another Wednesday and for bringing us this far through the week.
Thank You for being with us in the good moments and the difficult ones.
Lord, some of us are tired today. Some are worried. Some are waiting for answers. Some are hurting. Some are carrying burdens we havenβt told anyone about.
Please remind us that we donβt have to carry those things alone.
Be our refuge and our strength.
Give us wisdom where we need direction, patience where we are waiting, peace where we are worried, and strength where we are tired.
Please watch over our families. Bless our marriages. Protect our children and grandchildren. Comfort those who are grieving. Provide for those who are struggling. Encourage the person who feels like giving up.
And help us notice someone today who needs a phone call, a prayer, a hug, a kind word, or simply someone willing to listen.
Keep our hearts close to Jesus and help us show His love in the way we treat people today.
In Jesusβ name, Amen. π
π¬ Iβd also like to ask something today.
What can I pray with you about?
You donβt have to share every detail. If all you want to say is βPlease pray for me,β thatβs enough.
And if you see someoneβs prayer request in the comments, take a moment and pray for them too. Letβs actually be there for one another. β€οΈ
Whatever the rest of this week brings, remember:
You may be tired, but God is still your strength.
You may be waiting, but God is still working.
You may not understand what He is doing, but He is still trustworthy.
And even when you canβt see whatβs around the next corner, God is already there.
Have a beautiful and blessed Wednesday, friends. πβ€οΈ
Keep praying.
Keep trusting.
Keep your Bible open.
Keep loving people.
And keep your heart close to God.
The same God who brought you this far will be with you through whatever comes next.
