Creating a Setlist...
Last week I was working on a setlist for a July 4th gig this weekend.
We're playing four hours. Trying to keep it fun, but enjoyable for the band also.
This year, we had a hard time finding just the right people, so many people were booked in advance. The lady booking us, did request us early in advance, I thought also, but apparently not early enough for such a big July 4th weekend.
I finally found a friend, someone who is in this group, actually, or he was... , a former student of mine, and a fantastic musician in his own right.
We've shared stages together, but that was in a church environment, a few years ago.
For this gig, he's agreed to play bass guitar and keyboard, since I have my son on drums (very talented), and I'm on guitar, vocals and harmonica.
How do you create a setlist?!
