Student draping examples
Hello Elites,
check out just a few of my students drape example for the start of their experimentation process. A reminder that it's best to explore a variety of drape ideas to move on your design process.
Ways to achieve this is simply by taking pictures of all angles of what you have created, printing them off and sticking them in your sketchbook and then simply creating lots of initial sketches from your one idea.
Change the LENGTH of your design
Change the SCALE of a detail
Add MULTIPLE layers of fabric to create volume
Simple CHANGE the position of a detail from the top to the bottom.
Just change, alter, multiply where needed.
The best way to document these variations is to sketch, sketch more and then when you have done sketching, sketch more ... distinction grades are won in this process as this really sets you apart from all designers.
