How To Prevent Yourself From MOUTH Breathing At NIGHT! ๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จ
A couple of WEEKS ago...
I took a nap on the COUCH.
I was lied RIGHT on my BACK...
No mouth tape ๐Ÿค, nothing.
And guess what?
I wake up.
DROOL EVERYWHERE. ๐Ÿคค
Huh, that's STRANGE.
That NEVER happens when I'm normally sleeping in my bed...
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There are MANY negatives to mouth breathing.
SO many.
Such AS:
๐Ÿ˜ท REDUCED OXYGEN INTAKE:
  • Mouth breathing can lead to shallow breaths, reducing OXYGEN intake and absorption in the lungs, which can result in less efficient OXYGENATION of your body.
  • This can affect overall ENERGY levels and cognitive function.
  • Nasal breathing stimulates the production of nitric oxide, a molecule that helps dilate blood vessels and improve blood flow.
  • Mouth breathing BYPASSES this benefit, potentially leading to reduced oxygen delivery to TISSUES.
๐Ÿฆท DENTAL AND ORAL HEALTH ISSUES:
  • Breathing through the mouth dries out the ORAL cavity, reducing SALIVA production.
  • Saliva is essential for neutralizing acids and washing away bacteria, and a dry mouth can lead to an increased risk of CAVITIES, gum disease, and BAD BREATH.
  • Chronic mouth breathing can affect the development of FACIAL muscles and bones, potentially leading to dental issues such as malocclusion (misaligned teeth) and an altered JAW structure (no jawline)
๐Ÿ’ค SLEEP DISORDERS:
  • Mouth breathing is associated with OBSTRUCTIVE SLEEP APNEA, a condition where the airway becomes blocked during sleep, leading to disrupted breathing, poor sleep quality, and daytime fatigue.
  • Mouth breathing often leads to SNORING due to the vibration of soft tissues in the THROAT, which can disturb sleep for both the individual and their partner.
๐Ÿ˜” INCREASED STRESS AND ANXIETY:
  • Mouth breathing can stimulate the sympathetic nervous system (fight-or-flight response), leading to increased STRESS and ANXIETY levels.
  • Nasal breathing, on the other hand, promotes relaxation and activates the parasympathetic nervous system (rest-and-digest response).
๐Ÿ’จ REDUCED FILTRATION OF AIR:
  • The NOSE FILTRATES dust, allergens, and pathogens.
  • Mouth breathing bypasses this natural filtration system, allowing more pollutants and allergens to enter the lungs, which can exacerbate respiratory conditions like asthma and allergies.
  • And this will also make you more likely to get SICK.
๐ŸŒฌ๏ธ POOR POSTURE:
  • Chronic mouth breathers often develop a forward HEAD POSTURE to keep their airway open, leading to neck and shoulder pain, as well as potential long-term musculoskeletal ISSUES.
๐Ÿ‘ƒ NASAL CONGESTION:
  • Mouth breathing can worsen NASAL CONGESTION by reducing the use of nasal passages.
  • This creates a cycle where the less you breathe through your NOSE, the more CONGESTED it becomes, further promoting mouth breathing.
Now you know that MOUTH breathing absolutely TERRIBLE for your health. ๐Ÿšซ
And that we should AVOID it as much as we CAN.
Mouth breathing is preventing you from SLEEPING better.
Mouth breathing is preventing you from TURBOCHARGING ๐Ÿ“ˆ your energy.
MOUTH BREATHING IS LITERALLY INDIRECTLY MAKING YOU LESS MONEY!
We can consciously control our breath through the day so that we DON'T mouth breathe...
But at NIGHT, we're ASLEEP, so we CAN'T control our breath.
Meaning our mouth could naturally just OPEN and we'd start MOUTH BREATHING
And this has MANY consequences.
Because we want to AVOID mouth breathing.
But to do that, and to guide us to NOSE breathe at night...
We need to do THESE:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
๐ŸŽฏ ACTIONABLE STEPS:
Before we actually GET into any of the proper actionable steps, there's something I need to mention first.
You BETTER take action on this.
If you want this guide to GENUINELY help you.
To make your SLEEP better ๐Ÿ’ค
To make more MONEY from your BUSINESS. ๐Ÿ’ธ
Then you need to take ACTION
Rather than simply HOARDING KNOWLEDGE.
SO:
๐ŸŽฏ ACTIONABLE STEP: Do this RIGHT NOW
  • Get out a piece of paper, and a pen/pencil.
  • I want you after this actionable step, to write ALL of the ACTIONABLE STEPS.
  • Keep that piece of paper somewhere where you go often (e.g. your desk)
  • So that you're constantly REMINDED of it.
  • And then, TAKE ACTION ON IT AS SOON AS YOU CAN.
  • DO NOT LEAVE IT TILL LATER. OTHERWISE YOU WONT DO IT.
Anyways, let's get into the actionable steps...
๐ŸŽฏ ACTIONABLE STEP: SLEEP ON YOUR SIDES
I've talked about this MANY different times..
You should be sleeping on your SIDES!!!
This SIGNIFICANTLY reduces the risk of you mouth breathing at night.
This is because the NASAL passages ๐Ÿ‘ƒ become more OPENED UP, compared to OTHER sleeping positions.
Which allows for easier AIRFLOW through the nose.
AND, sleeping on your side also ELIMINATES snoring and HELPS with sleep APNEA!
Left side, right side.
Left side is SLIGHTLY better, but it doesn't MATTER.
ANY SIDE will work, whatever feels most comfortable to YOU.
๐ŸŽฏ ACTIONABLE STEP: USE MICROPORE MOUTH TAPE AT NIGHT
I'm sure you've DEFINITELY HEARD OF THIS ACTIONABLE STEP before.
Where you've seen people online promoting mouth-taping at night.
This is GREAT, however...
Do NOT use medical tape at night.
Or any other sort of tape (like duct tape).
This is because when you'd RIP OFF the tape, it could potentially DAMAGE your SKIN โœจ
(Plus it hurts like hell lol)
And it could also damage your LIPS. ๐Ÿซฆ
So AVOID those sorts of tapes.
The sort of tape you'd want to MOUTH-TAPE with, is MICROPORE tape.
Micropore tape is a type of SURGICAL tape.
It's what SURGEONS use to treat patients
And it's really LIGHT.
When you rip it off, it will still HURT, BUT
It will NOT damage the skin or lips.
So that's a BONUS.
Now if your NASAL passages are still BLOCKED at night, then listen up.
๐ŸŽฏ ACTIONABLE STEP: NASAL STRIPS
You definitely have seen ALEX HORMOZI promoting these.
Because they're AWESOME!
They TREMENDOUSLY open up the nasal passages
And make it MUCH easier for you to breathe through your nose.
So if you find that you're struggling to breathe through your nose at night,
Then buy some nasal strips, chuck one on your nose at night!
And you'll be able to NASALLY BREATHE far EASIER!
With all of these ACTIONABLE STEPS combined...
Your sleep will be FAR better.
Your HEALTH will be far better.
Your BUSINESS will indirectly be improved.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It's awesome you've read through this WHOLE POST man!! ๐ŸŽ‰
This is going to benefit your life SIGNIFICANTLY!
Your health, your wealth...
It will all SKYROCKET!! ๐Ÿš€
Because you're taking more steps to improve your SLEEP!
But in order to do that.
You have to take ACTION.
You need to actually start DOING.
SO:
๐ŸŽฏ ACTIONABLE STEP: REVISE your notes again. If you've missed any ACTIONABLE STEPS, go through the post again and write them down.
DO THESE ACTIONABLE STEPS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!
Do NOT leave it till later, you will end up forgetting it.
And you're going to end up coping and saying "Oh I'm saving it for later"
DON'T.
Go online RN and buy some micropore tape.
Go online RN and buy some nasal strips.
And TONIGHT, make an EFFORT to sleep on your SIDE.
Even if it's UNCOMFORTABLE at first.
Even if you can only sleep on your side for 5 mins at a time, then return back to whatever position you were in before...
That's FINE.
Build it up OVERTIME...
And side-sleeping will naturally become a HABIT.
Thanks for reading man!! ๐Ÿ‘
Please like, share and COMMENT on this guide how you're feeling after the actionable steps.
It will mean that it'll reach more people EXACTLY LIKE YOU!
And HELP THEM! ๐Ÿ’ช
