Another successful USA Triathlon certification renewal! Since 2018, I’ve been proud to coach under the USA Triathlon banner — a journey that’s helped me guide athletes through Diamond Lake Sports to achieve their endurance and fitness dreams. With that foundation, 2026 and 2027 are shaping up to be bright years ahead for both the company and our incredible athletes. The best is yet to come! 💪🏊‍♂️🚴‍♀️🏃‍♂️

The first photo is from the 2001 Chicago Marathon — my first real taste of long-course endurance. The second is from this August in Lafayette, where I took on a 24-hour cycling challenge and logged 250 miles with 18 hours in the saddle. I started training back in 1976 to rehab an old sports injury and ended up becoming a lifelong runner. Since then, I’ve finished more than 20 marathons, ultramarathons, full Ironman races, and seven half-Ironman events. These days I’m chasing ultra-cycling. At 67, with 50 years of training behind me, I don’t know exactly what’s possible — but I’m ready to find out.
