Most importantly, please keep in mind that what is shared in the live online group is still confidential information - so please do not share it with anyone outside the group and always protect one another's personal information (name/location/job/etc.). Please review all the group rules below. These are designed to ensure a safe, positive experience for everyone who joins. Group Rules: - What is said in the group, stays in the group. There may be no communication about what is shared with anyone who is not present at the group. - There are no ‘wrong’ statements, feelings, or opinions, and we refrain from judging one another. We are here to listen, support, and guide one another. - Always use respectful language when addressing others. - No cross-talk. Members are expected to be able to wait for your turn. If you cannot do that, and have been warned 3x, you will be asked to leave. - Members should avoid physical contact and forming relationships outside the group. - Everyone has the right to pass on any questions or activities they are not comfortable with, although active participation is expected. - Arriving on time and staying for the entire session is expected to show respect for the group and ensure continuity. - We do not discuss religion, politics, science, or other ‘hot’ topics to remain neutral and respectful of all members. - Threats, manipulation, and substance abuse are not permitted. Members must not attend under the influence. - Cell phones should be turned off or silenced during the session. - Audio/video recording is never allowed in the group and violates HIPAA privacy protections. - As in normal therapy, if the therapist observes that a participant is actively planning to harm themselves or others, they will intervene as appropriate, which may mean loss of some confidentiality protections for that individual only to ensure their safety and that of everyone around them.
