Welcome! Introduce yourself
👋 Welcome to the Community, If you're here, it's because want to grow and share wisdom with others. This is a space for Christian fathers who want to build a legacy that matters. I recently read a quote that says: You want to start with the end in mind. This community exists because I believe fathers who know their identity in God and lead with biblical wisdom are able to significantly impact the world around them, starting with their homes, then their wider communities. Step 1: Introduce Yourself Drop a comment below and tell us: 1) How many kids/grandkids you have 2) Where are you from? 3) What do you do? 4) The one area you want to grow in most right now? 5) Why drew you to this community? Step 2: Show Up and Share This community is full of fathers wanting to grow and and share with other dads. Lets be a go giver community. Remember it's more blessed to give than recieve. We're here to grow together, to challenge one another, and to build each other up in love. Josh

Flexible fitness times
Today the kids woke up early - 5am. So I had a choice, go for my run and leave them behind or take them all for a walk because they wanted to pick loquots. I decided to take them all for a walk... I guess I'll have to try fit that run in later. At the end of the day, dont forget what matters most... family. Make your plans, but stay flexible. Thats the key to being a dad! #keep the main thing the main thing
Why do dreams feel like they take forever to come true?
When you have a dream and your walking towards it, it can feel like its taking forever. Imagine how Joshua and Caleb must have felt knowing that they were so close to entering the promised land, but the people around them chose to trust in their fear rather than trust in God. So they had to walk around for another 40 years in the desert, including Joshua and Caleb. What a lesson in patience and grace they had to go through. How did they manage to not get angry at the people around them for making them wait an extra 40 years? How did they feel knowing that they were so close... What is a dream God has laid on your heart that you feel like you have been waiting on for a while?

When you walk you wont be held back...
After a month of sickness on and off I feel so weak... My press ups are back down to 20 max. Yesterday I felt weak on my run, and you know what, when you feel weak, exercise is the last thing you want to do. The hard part is starting, because thats when you have to confront how unfit you've become, and commit to getting stronger again. I've done a lot of hikes in the past and theres nothing worse than feeling like your held back... Thats when you need to remember your why, theres a reason Solomon and many bible characters refer to running and races, they are such a great picture for pressing in, a great quote my father used to say is "when the going gets tough, the touch get going!" Proverbs 4:11-12 says: I will teach you wisdoms ways and lead you in straight paths. When you walk, you won't be held back, when you run, you won't stumble. How'd your intentional exercise go this week?
