Spark Speaker Series is happening in 4 days
Reclaiming Energy Livestream Reflection
Well, first ever livestream, and of course, not everything went as planned. I tried to do what I could in the moment. It can be easy to focus on what didn't go quite right but choosing to focus on branching out with a new experience, the quality content and the learnings. These days I'm focusing on doing what I can in each moment. There was some fabulous content - with practical science-backed strategies for increasing mental, physical and emotional energy. The slides and reflection prompts are on the website (www.thrivespaceplus.com/resources). It's not just about increasing energy and capacity - there's more to the complex corporate environment and that's why I'm thrilled about our next series. Excited for our next launch - our Clarity Under Pressure Series. Love the ability for people to really refine he skills with the AI simulation option! 😃

Harvard Business Review - Burnout Article
Last week there was a Harvard Business Review article on what burnout looks like at various stages of one’s career. An interesting read, I connected with the familiar observations and challenges. (https://hbr.org/2026/04/burnout-looks-different-across-the-org-chart-watch-for-these-signs?utm_campaign=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_source=rasa_io). Provided some ‘advice to my younger self’ on our Socials this week. The common theme throughout my career - I didn’t put my well-being first, my ambition took over and speed to the top felt ever more crucial as a woman. If you slowed down or took a break, you were effectively written-off. The added pressure along with lack of clarity early and then the compression sandwich in management made it ever more challenging. Knowing that I didn’t need to go to every meeting, pushing back on things that invaded my focus or well-being time - things that I wish I had done better. I knew my value but I didn’t necessarily act like it - fearing the consequences, but the e ironic thing is that it only encouraged more pushing of my boundaries, to the extent it was an office joke that was doing the work of 5 people. Knowing our value, and protecting it ❤️

A spring weekend all about new beginnings and renewed hope
This weekend is about light breakthrough the darkness. If you're navigating dark times - where everything seems to be going wrong, and nothing you try is working - I've been there. The toll is demotivating, zaps our energy. But the light is there and it is breaking through. “Although the world is full of suffering, it is also full of the overcoming of it.” — Helen Keller A weekend to redefine our priorities and reclaim our self-worth: · An identity beyond work · Not personalising work problems · Prioritizing our well-being This weekend is celebrated as a season of new life, joy, and hope Sometimes when all we see is lack – A weekend sparks a new decision to choose a new life, joy, and hope❤️🌤️

Strategies for surviving the corporate workplace
I was thinking about what would be possibly of value to others - looking at it from a view of what would have been helpful to my younger self. I silently battled the cognitive overload, emotional volatility, identity fusion, lack of control, hierarchical pressure, chronic stress, and unclear boundaries. But I'm sure I'm not alone in this so I have added a Corporate Survival Guide [https://www.thrivespaceplus.com/resources], covering: - >How to protect your identity when work starts consuming your life >How to reduce cognitive overload and reclaim your focus >How to regulate emotional highs and lows in chaotic environments >How to navigate hierarchy without losing confidence >How to set boundaries that protect your mental health >How to reduce anxiety by closing the responsibility–control gap >How to find meaning even when the work feels repetitive >How to stop comparing yourself to others and trust your own timeline Each chapter includes science‑based explanations, practical tools, and simple daily habits that help stay grounded, resilient, and in control — even when the environment isn’t. Many of us are used to a highly pressurized, highly competitive workplace that can just drain every ounce of us if we let it. Some strategies to help others not get to where I was last year. ❤️🌤️
