Do you know what we do?
The English Triage Center is a community dedicated to building bridges to literacy through evidence-based instruction, intervention, and support for multilingual learners and striving readers.
The English Triage Center focuses on helping adult learners overcome three primary educational and linguistic challenges:
- ESOL Development: We help students break through social isolation and communication barriers by focusing on the practical, real-world English skills needed for everyday life and professional advancement.
- GED and Adult Basic Education: We provide individualized support for returning learners to build confidence, tackle academic weak points, and master workplace literacy on the path to earning their credentials.
- Adult Literacy Foundations: Our safe space allows adult native speakers to master practical reading and writing skills for greater independence in handling daily, civic, and financial responsibilities.
Our mission across all programs is to offer a judgment-free, flexible learning environment that prioritizes student dignity while empowering adults to build essential skills, overcome embarrassment, and achieve their professional or civic goals.
