A New Poem
I was inspired to write a poem in a new poetry community I joined and here it is.
By the way there was an extra bonus (of what I don't know) if you included the phrase: I almost didn't say this...
Of the three submitted so far, mine was the only one the owner of the community commented on. He said, "Nicely done. I like that"

“A Life, A Laugh, A death”
A laughing child turned to tears
A scratch, a bruise, and life’s long fears
Was it all worth it, to run headlong
Writing such a strange... echoing song
I almost didn’t say this, but in due time
I found an old picture that has changed my mind
When it’s all said and done, and I am dead
Will it matter what was in my head
A picture paints a thousand fears
A laughing child turned to tears
